I realized after I added this painting to my current inventory that every year since I started this little card and art print business, I've painted pink tulips for Valentines day.

Turning to the internet for the meaning of pink tulips at Valentine's Day, here is what I find. PINK TULIPS - a symbol of caring, attachment (not as strong as love, like the red ones) and good wishes. They would be appropriate for a friend or family member. White Tulips- representing purity, innocence, forgiveness and respect, they would be a great flower for a wedding or to give with an apology.

For me, the artist behind the designs, I think I like to turn to the tulip because I've just put away the heavier designs of red and green. Fir, pine cones and poinsettias are filed away and pink comes to my mind as a symbol of a pure, uncomplicated love. This delicate tulip says so much to my heart.
