BEAR SHOP UPDATE

Updated: Oct 6, 2022

This is Regina, a 26 inch bear who went to live in Regina, Canada. I have lots of baby clothes listed on Etsy if you like this look.

(By the way, did you know that Regina is latin for Queen? I learned that the week of the Queen Elizabeth II memorial.)

I have spent a lot of time updating this website in order to sell my watercolor art prints. Mean while my teddy bear site has been a bit neglected. So, I thought it best to bring Mary's Little Lamb Bears up to date today.

The sales activity is slow and steady there and I'm grateful for every opportunity I get to move some of these prohibitively expensive items into the hands of teddy bear enthusiasts . I can't bear <--pun the thought of tossing them out or selling them in a garage sale for next to nothing.

So here's what's happening.

  • Lots of teddy bears from my personal collection have been adopted, but no worries, I still have lots more to sell. It just takes time to process the listings including their photo shoots. Some of the bears remaining are by artists Christine Jesser, Teddys are for Real, Steiff, Dodie Moore, From the Garden, Pamala Wooley, Sue Bell and lots more.

  • The same is true for the mohair yardage and teddy bear kits.

  • Even the digital patterns are selling well. Those are downloads and always available. Right now I have 3 teddy bear patterns that are digital downloads in 11 inch, 18 inch, and 26 inch bear sizes.

PLANS I'M CONSIDERING in THE FUTURE.

  • The skirt bear kit was a one of a kind. She's on her way to my home state of Michigan as I type this page.

Another skirt bear, Jade, was sent to a teddy bear museum, Teddy Bear Museum & Library and I don't have her cut out, but I DO have the materials to make a kit for her if anyone is interested. If I don't hear back within a month or two, I will move on.

  • I'm considering a 16 inch pattern next of my bears with long arms and legs and a slender body making them desirable for dressing. Here are some examples. I could include the sailor dress patterns, or just create the bear pattern and let you decide if you want to dress them. Please let me know.

  • I have sold a few items to bear making buddies in England, and have done so through Pirate Ship; a website I have been happy with for shipping outside of Etsy. If you are from another country, and want to purchase from me, please contact me using my email at the bottom of this page.

  • I only had two pieces of mohair yardage listed at the time of writing this page, but have lots left to photograph and list, so if you have something specific you're looking for, you can get in touch with me using the email here. If you do I will list those first.

I'm looking forward to a wonderful autumn season. I'm looking forward to visits from family and painting some of the "artoberflowers", floral prompts planned by Katrina Crouch and Shealenelouise.
