This sunflower was painted onto 8.5X11 inch watercolor paper.  It fits into an 11X14 inch frame with an 8x10 opening for the painting.
 
Rather than the usual bright yellow to orange petals of most sunflowers this unique sunflower is a pale yellow. It is often described in shades of vanilla. It's botanical name is Helianthus annuus Italian white sunflower.
 
It was painted in June, 2019 onto artist grade watercolor paper; Fabriano Artistico, 100% cotton, cold pressed 140lb.  I used artist grade, Daniel Smith pigments to bring this lovely sunflower to life.  The frame is not included.
